Kit 5 : Cottage Kit "The Camper"

$7,843.60

This system is designed for small cottages or camps.  The added battery storage will provide a decent amount of power and the 2 large solar panels will provide adequate charging. The inverter/charger can be connected to a generator for extended stays at the cottage or for when the weather is bad and the solar can’t keep up. This system can be expanded by adding additional panels and charge controllers. This system is a step up into a larger, more robust system with a lot of functionality and options.

This was designed for:

  • Small Fridge (weekends only)

  • Lights

  • Fans

  • Small TV’s (once and a while)

  • Computers, cell phones, personal devices

  • Radio

  • Light power tools

  • And more…

This system will provide power to a wide range of applications; HOWEVER, you will need to keep track of your electrical usage. The batteries will not last forever, so you will need to get to know the system and how long the batteries last.

For cottagers who are used to having limited power, this will be a major upgrade. For those who expect this to power all their appliances all day and night, you will be disappointed.

This system will charge your essential devices, run a few small appliances and allow you to enjoy a nice evening with lights, watch a movie and run a fan. As with all solar installation, these panels should be installed in full sun, all day long. Any amount of shade will impact the overall system performance.

Read the battery manuals to ensure maintenance is kept up, and to ensure maximum battery life.

  • 2 * 500W solar panel
